Yesterday we watched the movie Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. We are using Bloom's taxonomy to elaborate more on our thinking about the movie. You have to use critical thinking in able to complete bloom's taxonomy. The stage that I am on right now is applying.

Canterbury Earthquake - Novel Study Series: Remember - by Willy

Hi, everybody!

The Novel Study series has begun and luckily there are some things too easy to accomplish!

This task for "Remember" (because the Novel Study presentation uses the Bloom's Taxonomy) that I chose is to record myself, using vocaroo, read a favourite chapter of mine from my book (Canterbury Quake: Christchurch 2010-11). But...

There is, one small thing about this book. You see, the book doesn't...really...have...chapters...

It was short, but it really hit me with the main character (whose name is Maddy) after "the big one" had hit Christchurch, and was facing aftershocks in her sleep, hence the poem.

Here is this week's Current Events. Looks different, right? Yeah, that's because the hats are gone. No, just kidding. From now, the Current Events presentation will take an approach on not the 6 Thinking Hats but the Blooms Taxonomy: Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analysing, Evaluating, and Creating.

Sounds cool, now right? I'll answer for you, since I can predict from now that SOME people may say no. So I'll say it anyway. Yes, it is cool. :D

Kia Manawanui Current Events Exemplar

Here is our class exemplar showing how to use critical thinking to analyse a current event. We completed this presentation as a syndicate using two articles which are linked on the first slide.
