IALT: Write a blog post about what is a smart relationship

Kia Ora and greetings to you all! Another day at Tamaki Primary and yet another blog! During today's blog I will be sharing with you all what it means to have or be in a smart relationship. To start off this blog I want to talk about the qualities are required within a smart relationship, here are a bunch of qualities listed down below:

- Truthful
- Trustworthy
- Honest
- Smart sharing
- Careful
- Always think twice
- Reliable
- Responsible
- Respect
- Loyalty

These qualities above are only half of what is required within a smart relationship. Moving on, what I think smart relationships mean is for both people/person to be Honest and Trustworthy, you can have a smart relationship with ANYONE, your parents, your siblings, your friends, AND you can even have a smart relationship with yourself! Down below is an acrostic poem using the word/s "SMART RELATIONSHIPS":

S - Smart Sharing Online
M - Making Smart/Good Choices
A - Achieving Goals
R - Reliable/Responsible
T - Truthful

R - Respect
E - Enlightened

N - NEVER share your private information
S - Strong Minded
H - Honesty

😮🎮OMGTech Experience🎮😮

IAL: how to create my own game using Technology.

Talofa Lava and greetings to you all, with in this blog I will be blogging about my day with other 23 students along with Mr. Reddy and Kelly at OMGTech. From what i've heard or what I know is that OMGTech is basically a gaming area where we basically create games of our own which is awesome. I was lucky enough to be picked to attend this special trip. Although the space was small it was still fun, all 24 students were divided into 2 big groups so basically it was Year 7 & 8's as the first group and the Year 5 & 6's as the second group.

The first group (Year 7 & 8's) were creating games online using computers while the second group (Year 5 & 6's) were creating games offline. We were instructed to go on this site called Scratch, Scratch is a gaming site where we can view/play other games and create our own game using codes and etc. I cannot remember the second site we used to create another type of game but it was difficult I found that the first site "Scratch" was easier to use than the second site, I almost didn't see any game during the second session but then as I got through I started to see the game which surprised me. What I found challenging during both sessions was knowing how to use the sites to create our game, I didn't know how hard it was to create a game (well it's both easy and hard) BUT what I enjoyed about out two sessions at OMGTech was that I got to create my own games and got to use different sites for the two different games. What I learnt from this trip to OMGTech was knowing how to code which was difficult at first but then got easier as we went through. Before finishing I would like to say a BIG thank you to Mr Reddy and all those who made this trip possible for us students, and to OMGTech for having us. I really enjoyed my day at OMGTech and once again I would like to say thank you!

👩🏾‍💻👣24 Hour Footpirnt: Digital Map👣👩🏾‍💻 by Grace

WALT: Track and trace our digital footprint.

Malo e lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

As you can see in the title, I will be sharing about my digital footprint map. This is one of our tasks that we had to complete for our Cybersmarts facilitator, Ms Collins. If you are wondering what a digital footprint map is? Well, a DFM( digital footprint map) is a map that reflects/shows information about what social media platforms you have been on accessing on your Chromebook. You can get this information from your history and from there, you can create your own map, it is that simple! Also this is taken in 24 Hour.

One thing I enjoyed about doing this task is creating my map. I tried my best to make it stand out and eye catching so it's appealing to look at.

Here is my map:

Just to let you know the footprints represent how much times Iv'e been on that websites and also within this task we had to hyperlink the site that we where on, onto the icons.

I hope you enjoy this blogpost!
Feel free to comment down below!

Question: Have you ever created your own DFM( digital Footprint Map)?

Hard Materials with Mr Grundy by Hevani

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog! This week for Technology at Tamaki College we have just started preparing what we will be making. We had to sketch 8 drawings of woodworks that might be simple and is easy to work with and out of my 8 sketches,
I have chosen to make a Ship and this will be for my younger brother, he has his own collection of cars, trucks and etc and I thought that I would be good to create something for him that he doesn't have but would like, a Ship.
I think this is the best choice because I think its appropriate for a 10 year old, he is old enough to be able to know how to take care and treat things probably or the way it is suppose to be used.
It will be used within my brothers car along with trucks and etc. He usually plays with his cars almost everyday.
To summarise this blog, I will be making a Ship for my younger brother. Which will be used with his car/truck and etc collection.
That is all for today's blog and please feel free to give feedback, once again thank you!

🤔Maths Screencastify - BEDMAS🤔 by Lydia

IALT: Explain to my viewers what I have been learning in Maths.
Image result for mathsKia Ora and welcome to my blog! Room 9 was given a task where we had to make a screencastify explaining a skill we have been learning in Maths and how it helps us in our daily lives. We got given a script that we were supposed to use to explain our Maths.

 Here is my Screencastify:
I love using BEDMAS and learning about it because it challenges me and my knowledge and helps me understand a strategy that will help me when it comes to a long equation with different sums in them. I hope you enjoyed listening to my screencastify.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
BEDMAS is really FUN!
Question of the blog: Have you learned about BEDMAS? Did you enjoy it?

Thank you for reading this blog! Make sure to give me some POSITIVE feedback and feedforward for my future. If you'd like to create a Screencastify yourself to explain what you have been learning about in Maths, feel free to use the same script I did:
Hello, My name is __________  and today I am going to talk about what we have been learning in Maths.
We have been learning about ____________.
Learning this skill will helped us to ___________.
Today, I am going to show you a problem and discuss the strategies and steps I used to solve it.

Let’s get started.

Exploring Ratio and Proportions by Senitila

Hey Everyone! As part of our maths integrated reading our follow-up was to use our knowledge of ratio and proportions to make a traditional bread. Today I am blogging about about how to make Rewena Bread. This type of bread is a Maori bread that you actually bake with potato. I hope that you find the DLO that I made helpful and actually try the recipe. Let me know what you think and how it turned out!
