PB4L - Positive Behaviour for Learning Reflection

Check out our PB4L reflection by one of our Student Leaders Timeus!

Today I am going to be talking about what it means by 'PB4L'. This word is what its like to show positive behaviour. For example when you are playing in the park or something and you see a person coming up to you and said if he wanted to play with you but you said no. But the only way to change that is if you ask him nicely that he can let you play with you because this person has nothing to do. And that is it for this reflection about our PB4L.

Self-Defence - Lesson 2 by Constance

WALT: Reflect back on our Self-Defense lesson.

Kia Ora! And many greetings to you all. Today, I will be reflecting on our self-defense lesson. And why it is important.

Why is this lesson important?
It is to keep ourselves safe. Being prepared and organised for any danger that heads for ourselves. And to also learn our boundary body parts. Trusting our instincts and also knowing what a yukky touch is and what isn't a yukky touch. - Bad or good touches.

Here is a presentation of my reflection that I have completed for the day.

Technology Reflection - T1W5 - Lesson 2 by Constance

WALT: Reflect back on what we learned and did at Technology - Tamaki College

Kia Ora! and many more greetings to you all.

Today, Kia Manawanui syndicate went down to Tamaki College for another lesson of Technology. I am in hard material.

What did you learn at Technology?
I didn't finish the rest of my Pewter glass, because time was running out. But something I did learn was: how to sketch our drawing onto a cardboard. It may seem simple, but it is kind of difficult.

Step 1: At the back of your piece of paper, draw a circle for you to know where you will be colouring.
Step 2: Colour in the circle, with the pencil facing sideways. Instead, of the tip being pocked down.
Step 3: Turn the paper over and place the cardboard in a good squareS with the paper.
Step 4: Draw over the silhouette of your picture chosen.
Step 5: Take the cardboard out. And its now down.

What did you find enjoying about this?
Something I really enjoyed was tracing my design onto the cardboard. But after I finished, I was really excited about cutting my design out. But ended up not doing it. I do not have a picture yet of my design, but it is one of Simba from The Lion King.

Here are some finished examples of this Technology class. This was not made by Tamaki Primary, but by other students who were in this class. From other schools.

Sketch Models - Technology Lesson 3 by Cerenity

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog!

IALT: Reflect on Technology.

Today we had technology with Miss Ferguson and we practicing how to make phone stands using plasticine. Plasticine is kind of like squishy clay that doesn't dry out by the ear. We didn't use clay because it dries our really quickly.

In this lesson, we learnt how to make different kinds of designs with plasticine and we also got to see the different kinds of designs that other people made. My personal favourite was Miss Fergusons because it was a cat design but I thought I was a mouse at first. Another one of my personal favourites was Akanesi's one which was a pokemon ball that holds your phone.

Here is a pitcure of Miss Ferguson's Cat design:

Here is a picture of Akanesi's design:

I also made 3 designs but my most favourite one was the bed phone stand!
