KI-o-Rahi Reflection by Hope

On Wednesday the 26th of June, there were four teams that went to a Ki -O - Rahi Tournament. Ki - o - Rahi is a maori sport that is based on myths and legends. When we left our school we had to have a good attitude because if we do something bad others can see and they will know what school we go to because we were wearing the school uniform. Our school has a rule for when we go to tournaments and it's Be Humble Winners and Gracious Losers.
Here are some photos of what ki - o - rahi looks like:

Well, If I was going to answer that I would pick water.

Back to the Future by Auckland

For our Reading task today we did a bit of time travelling to find out more about how schooling was in the past. My teacher said, "A trip down memory lane." The book that we read was Olden Days by Rachel Stedman. Our follow-up task related to writing a brief letter to the future sharing important bits about what life is like today. I created this DLO to explain my thinking. Hope you enjoy it!

Master Chef at Tamaki by Hope

Talofa lava and welcome back to our class blog!

Today for Technology the Kia Manawanui Syndicate went to Tamaki College and we were split into our groups. The group that I got put into was cooking. In cooking class we made Silver Beef with Vegetables soup. So its like a soup but with vegetables and beef.

Here is a simple step by step process including ingredients:

Step 1. Slice your meat and boil with cabbage and potato.
- First we peel and cut the carrot before putting it into the pan.
- Next peel the onion, cut the onion then put into the pan.
- Thereafter we cut the cauliflower and put into the pan.
- Then we cut the broccoli and put it into the pan.
- This was followed by adding tomato to the pan.

Step 2 -  use spices - put salt into the pan first.
- Put a little of pepper into the pan. You may add chilli powder according to your taste.
